We highly value the contribution that parents and members of our community make to our school life. We understand that adults can widen and broaden the learning experiences of our children.
We raise awareness of religious festivals and celebrations that reflect the different backgrounds of the children in our school. For instance, parents or members of staff have been invited to participate in classroom based workshops or assemblies to celebrate Diwali, Chinese New Year and Black History Month. The school is also in touch with members of the Sikh community who are prepared to give talks on the occasions of Guru Nanak’s Birthday or Vaisakhi. We also do displays and assemblies around Eid-ul-Fir and Ramadan, Guru Gobind Singh, Christmas and Easter.
