Home Learning

Home Learning

As advised by the Government schools across England were closed from 20th March 2020 until further notice.

We have been instructed to stay open to provide childcare facilities for children of key workers, those with identified additional needs and our vulnerable children, whilst the majority of our school community will be making the transition from school learning to working at home.

In order to support our children at this time, our Teachers will be working throughout the school closure to provide learning opportunities, activities and projects that are appropriate to your children’s needs. Home learning packs have been issued in some year groups and paper copies of these packs are available on request (where access to ICT is limited) and can be collected from the school office. An alert will be sent via SchoolPing when new tasks are uploaded and are available for use for Reception and KS1 pupils.

Our Children have free access to a number of home learning platforms and resources including J2e, SchoolPing, The National Curriculum.com, Big Cat Reading Scheme, and a substantial list of relevant age-appropriate web links, apps and additional activities. For those pupils who are using J2e, the work completed is automatically saved into My Files once it is opened for the first time and then the teacher can access the finished work from there. We would ask that you support us in ensuring your children regularly complete the work set to ensure they have continuity in their learning.

We would like to thank you for your support and we will continue to keep the Goodmayes Primary School community updated as the situation changes.
