Admissions to the school nursery

The children’s year in Nursery is a very important one. It is often the children’s first opportunity to experience some independence from home and is a time when the ability to learn is probably at its greatest.  We aim to work in partnership with parents to support the child to feel safe and settled so that their first experience of school is a positive one.

Children learn from their own experiences in Nursery and the importance of learning through play cannot be over emphasised.  During the year, Nursery children are encouraged to move freely between the outdoor and indoor learning environment to ensure that they receive broad and balanced educational experiences.

At Goodmayes Primary School we offer either a morning nursery session or an afternoon nursery session term time only.  All places are for 15 hours a week (3 hours a day) which are funded by the government’s early years entitlement.

Session Timings

Morning session – 8.45am – 11.45am
Afternoon session – 12.30pm  – 3.30pm
