Chair of Governor’s Welcome

new governor 2026

Dr Venetia Brown

I am delighted to be the Chair of Governors on the board of the Aspire Education Partnership, and I will enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues and fellow governors to support the federation’s ongoing growth and success.

My governance journey began in 2019 at a voluntary aided primary school in North London, where I served initially as the EDI link governor, then as Vice Chair. I presently hold the role of Chair of Governors and regularly participate as an independent member on HR, grievance, disciplinary, and exclusion panels.

I joined the governing board at Chadwell Primary School in May 2024 and shared the role of SEND link governor with another governor. I was Chair of Governors until August 2026.

I have a background in healthcare education. I retired from my position as Associate Professor and Director of Programmes specialising in healthcare education and training in 2024 at Middlesex University. Currently residing in North London, I am firmly committed to working with educational institutions to support them to offer high quality and rich educational experience for all learners whether this is at primary, secondary or post-16.

I am deeply committed to fostering an environment where every pupil can flourish and I am looking forward to working with all stakeholders within the federation to continue this important work.
